SSO Configuration

To set up Okta SSO for Biome, follow the step-by-step instructions below.

1. Requirements

  • Admin access to your Okta organization
  • A Biome organization account with admin privileges

2. Supported Features

  • SP-Initiated Login (OIDC-based)
  • Authentication via Okta using OpenID Connect
  • Email matching between Okta and Biome accounts
Note: Role management are not supported via Okta. Please manage users in the Biome Admin Portal.

3. Configuration Steps

A. Add the Biome App in Okta
  1. Log in to your Okta Admin Console
  2. Go to Applications → Browse App Catalog
  3. Search for Biome and add the app
  4. Assign users or groups who should access Biome
B. Gather Information from Okta
  1. Navigate to the Sign On tab of the Biome app in Okta
  2. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret
  3. Click on OpenID Provider Metadata and copy the issuer URL
C. Send Details to Biome

Email the following to support@biome.us:

  • Your Okta domain (e.g., acme.okta.com)
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  • Issuer URL

4. Logging Into Biome Using Okta

  1. Visit https://auth.biome.us
  2. Click "Login with Okta"
  3. Authenticate via Okta

5. Notes

  • Password login will be disabled once Okta SSO is enabled
  • Only users assigned to the Biome app in Okta can log in
  • Email addresses must match exactly between Biome and Okta
