SCIM Configuration

Biome supports SCIM 2.0 to automate user provisioning and deprovisioning from your identity provider. Follow the steps below to configure SCIM integration with Okta. If you need assistance, please schedule a support call.

1. Requirements

  • Admin access to your Okta organization
  • Admin access to your Biome account
  • SSO integration already configured

2. Supported Features

  • Import Users
  • Create Users
  • Update User Attributes
  • Deactivate Users
  • Group Push
Note: Role-based access control must still be configured manually within Biome.

3. Configuration Steps

A. Contact Biome Support

Email support@biome.us to request SCIM credentials. Our team will provide:

  • SCIM Base URL
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
B. Configure SCIM in Okta
  1. Log into your Okta Admin Console
  2. Navigate to Applications → Applications
  3. Click Browse App Catalog
  4. Search for "Biome SCIM"
  5. Click on the "Biome SCIM" result
  6. Click the "Add Integration" button
  7. On the Next Screen click "done"
  8. Go to the Provisioning tab
  9. Click Configure API Integration
  10. Check Enable API Integration
  11. Click Authenticate with Biome SCIM. If successful, click Save
C. Enable SCIM Features
  1. Once API integration is enabled, go to the Provisioning → To App tab
  2. Enable the following features:
    • Create Users
    • Update User Attributes
    • Deactivate Users
  3. Assign users/groups to the Biome application

5. Notes

  • SCIM is a one-way sync: changes in Okta will reflect in Biome, not the other way around
  • Users deactivated in Okta will lose access to Biome automatically
  • To remove SCIM integration, disable API Integration and revoke the token via Biome support
